Does a domain include a website or email?
A domain is your web address. Websites, hosting and email are separate services you can add when needed.
Is an available domain reserved for me?
No. Availability can change. You can use the domain after successful registration; we check its availability again before registering it.
How do I order a domain?
Check availability and choose “I want this domain”. This currently sends an order enquiry. We confirm availability, the final price and registration terms before payment.
What if the domain is taken?
Try another name or extension. If you already own the domain, connect it to Sibly or request a transfer.

An authorisation code is needed to change your domain registrar. For .ee domains, you can obtain it from the registrant portal.

Use your ID card or another identification method offered by the portal.

From the domains linked to you, open the one you want to bring to Sibly.
Find the registrar details
Look for the registrar transfer code field (“Kood registripidaja vahetuseks”). This is your domain authorisation or EPP code.
Continue with your transfer enquiry
We will explain how to send the code securely. Do not put it in an ordinary contact form message.
Cannot see your domain? Visibility in the portal depends on your relationship to the domain. Contact its owner or current registrar.

Start a transfer enquiry →What does transferring a domain mean?
Management moves from your current registrar to a new one. Your domain name stays the same. Moving website files and email messages is separate work, which you can request in the transfer form.
Where do I get an authorisation code?
Get your .ee domain code from the Estonian Internet Foundation’s registrant portal. Sign in, open the domain and find the registrar transfer code field in the registrar details. See the step-by-step guide.
For other extensions, get the Auth or EPP code from your current registrar’s self-service portal or support team. If you already have it, continue with your enquiry; we will arrange secure delivery separately.
Will my website and email keep working during the transfer?
Changing registrars does not itself move your website or email to another server. Keep your current services active. We check nameservers and DNS settings before transfer so the domain continues pointing to the right services. Website or email migration is arranged separately.
How long does a domain transfer take?
Timing depends on the extension, current registrar and required confirmations. Some transfers are quick; others take several days. We can provide a clearer schedule after checking your domain’s requirements.
How much does a transfer cost?
The price depends on the extension. Some transfers include a registration renewal and its charge. We confirm the final price and any renewal before you order. Sending an enquiry does not initiate payment.
Why can a domain not be transferred immediately?
A transfer lock, missing or incorrect authorisation code, owner confirmation or extension-specific restriction may prevent a transfer. Finding a registered domain does not confirm that it can be moved immediately. We check the requirements first.
Will the domain remain in my name?
Yes. You or your company remain the registrant when you bring the domain to Sibly. Only the registrar managing the domain changes.
Can I change the owner or contact details during a transfer?
This depends on the extension. Changing ownership is a separate operation requiring the parties’ approval. Some changes may affect transfer eligibility or timing. Include your request in the enquiry so we can agree the order of operations.
Is transferring a domain safe?
A transfer is requested by the owner or an authorised representative and follows registry checks. The authorisation code enables the transfer, so share it only with the agreed recipient through a secure channel. Having the code does not replace any other required approvals.
Can I use Sibly without transferring my domain?
Yes. Keep the domain with your current registrar and connect it to Sibly hosting, a website or email through DNS settings. Your current provider will continue handling domain renewals.
Does submitting the form start a transfer?
No. The form checks your domain and helps you send a transfer enquiry. The transfer starts only after we check requirements, authority and approvals and agree the order.
